On 19 July 2023 at about 0700, the Danish containership MURCIA MÆRSK collided with the Vietnamese fishing vessel BD-30947-TS approx. 245 nautical miles southeast of Ba Ria in South China Sea. Four fishermen were rescued by other merchant ships and two fishermen went missing and are presumed deceased.
